How To Share Your Faith With Anyone

Becoming a child of God is a sacred experience. It is for you to share the gospel, to share your faith with others.

Moreover, walking with The Lord is about your service to Him and to mankind.

And yet sharing your faith, sharing the gospel with those around you can be challenging, full of obstacles, resistance, and people who simply have no interest in hearing the message you have been called to give.

Fortunately, you have come to the right place for advice on how to approach people with the Good News.

Keep reading to discover key insights on how to spread The Good News with anyone you meet.

Ask the Lord for Guidance

When it comes to witnessing to the world and sharing your faith, you first need to seek guidance from the Lord.

You have been called by The Lord Most High.

When you ask Him to show you the way, The Holy Spirit will light the way for you.

Proverbs 19:21; Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”

God’s way is the only way.

Ask Him to light the way for you and to guide you to glorify The Name of Jesus Christ in you and in all you share The Good News with.

Pray to God to open doors for you and be ready when He does!

Share Your Faith: It’s All About Christ

As a true follower of Christ, you are to maintain a servant’s heart.

John 13:6-8; He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

“No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

God set the ultimate example for us by washing the feet of His Apostles.

We are to do the same.

True servanthood is about the needs of others.

When The Spirit of Truth lives inside you, you will be provided with the words.

It is for you to first walk a mile in the other person’s shoes before you share the gospel.

Moreover, The Great Commission, to share the gospel, is to know that it is all about Jesus Christ and what He did for all mankind.

He died for our sins, in our place, on the cross. He defeated death and rose from the grave to walk the earth for 40 days before ascending to heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of Father God Almighty!

Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

Sharing your faith is about sharing what Jesus did for all of us.

Focus on Jesus Christ, when you share The Gospel.

Know Your Mission Field

I had a saying during my time in the media industry.

The key to winning is to know whether you are playing a home game or an away game.

It’s a trick question because in order to achieve true greatness in anything, your mindset needs to be that you are always playing an away game.

Because this will push you out of your comfort zone and you will ascend to a greater performance.

The same can be said for taking The Great Commission out into the world.

Meaningful conversations are never one-sided.

When you believe in Jesus Christ know that you are not on the home team.

According to this article back in August of 2020, some 52% of Americans say that Jesus Christ is not God.

Moreover, they say. great teacher, just not God.

Jesus Christ told us it would not be easy.

Someone may label you.

I’ve heard them all, over the years.

My strong belief is all things happen in God’s timing, thus, I never try to run ahead of God in sharing my faith before God’s time has come for me to do so with someone.

How will I know when?

You will know.

Remember, meaningful conversations are never one-sided.

The person you share your faith, share the gospel with, has to be ready to hear it.

Hardened hearts are closed off to the Wisdom of God.

For example.

When you speak with me about anything for a few minutes, you come to know that Jesus Christ is first and foremost in my life through my words and interactions.

Person I am speaking with could say;  “Oh, so you’re one of those bible thumping, the world is coming to an end, religious type people.”

A comment like that could mean the time is not right.

Yet, it is for all believers to shine in such moments.

So, I answer with a smile, “Jesus is my everything. Can I ask you, what’s the most important thing in your life?”

My focus is on the one I am speaking with and what is important to them because when I am called to share the gospel, it is about Jesus Christ and that person’s relationship with Jesus Christ.

If walls remain up, tense moments enter and things get really uncomfortable, take heart in knowing this.

John 15:18-19; If the world hates youknow that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the worldthe world would love you as its ownbut because you are not of the worldbut I chose you out of the worldtherefore the world hates you.”

When you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for now, you are on the away team.

Because you are no longer of this world.

You are now living in Christ and Christ is living in you, which means you are now immortal!

The mortality rate of the home team, non-believers is 100%.

The Great Commission is all about reducing that mortality rate and answering Christ’s call to help lead others to Him.

Share Your Faith: Be The Light Of The World

Once you are in Christ, know that the spiritual battle for your soul has just begun!

You are now worth something to satan and he will work hard to separate you from the love of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.

You now live in the truth because you live in Christ.

Matthew 5:14-16; “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Live your life in such a way that it will shine for all others to see.

Easy to understand, hard to do in this world we live in.

Yet, all things are possible when you have God leading the way!

Share Your Faith: Family and Friends

This may be the most difficult thing you encounter during your days here on earth as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Luke 12:53; “They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

This Luke 12:53 Bible verse refers to the end times, which we are now living in.

Chances are someone in your very own family does not believe that Jesus Christ is in fact God.

Moreover, that someone could be you!

Or perhaps your father or mother or brother or sister does not believe in Christ as Lord and Savior.

In my own family, there are those who believe and those who don’t.

What to do?

You continue to be the light of this world and you continue to pray to God to open a door for you with that family member.

Moreover, you continue to pray for that family to hear the call each and every day.

The same is true for those friends in your close circle.

Be a light to them, and remember it’s about Christ and His message to your friend.

You Are Not Alone

When you walk with Jesus Christ you are never alone.

Moreover, when you walk with others in Christ this happens.

Matthew 18:20; “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Finding a Bible based church and connecting with other believers will strengthen you when the time comes for you to share your faith and share the gospel with others.

Share Your Faith: Part of Every Conversation

I mentioned earlier that when you speak with me, you immediately sense that I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

This is not because I steamroll others when I share the gospel.

It is because the purpose God has given me is to tell you that everything is about Jesus Christ.

Life doesn’t exist without Jesus Christ.

You and I would not be breathing right now without Jesus Christ.

At the end of our days we would die a second time if it were not for Jesus Christ.

Allowing others to see the light of Jesus Christ in you will enable you to recognize when God is opening doors for you to share the gospel with others.

Remember The Great Commandments

Matthew 22:36-40; “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.  And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Love the Lord Your God and Your Neighbors always in all that you do.

Sharing your faith isn’t about keeping score or winning.

It is the mission of every true follower to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let’s take this journey together each week as you will find new Christian Blogs here each and every week designed especially for you to help with your walk through this life.

Psalm 102:18; “Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.”
