Do you believe Jesus Christ is who He says He is and if so, how do you show your love for Jesus?
People around the world will debate who Jesus Christ is, yet there is no debate as to who comes in at #1 on the list of most influential people of all time.
John 21:15-17, “When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,
“Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love you.”
“Feed my lambs,” he told him.
A second time he asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love you.”
“Shepherd my sheep,” he told him.
He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”
Simon Peter and the other disciples believed and had no doubt that Jesus Christ was God come to earth!
They took The Good News to the world and God has made sure this message lives on for all eternity.
Moreover, it is why the name Jesus is more known than any other who has ever walked the face of this earth.
Read on because today this guide is all about Jesus.
We will show you the ways to know Him and 10 ways you can show your love for Jesus Christ.
Show Your Love For Jesus: First Thing
What is the first thing that pops into your mind the moment you wake up each day?
- Smart Phone
Been there in the M.B.C. days. (My Before Christ Days).
One day I reflected on my existence, my birth, family, upbringing, relationships, belongings, reason for being, my WHY.
That’s when a voice whispered to me, so gentle. Clarity came over me and it was clear that this life given to me was planned before it was created and that life itself was and is all for Him.
Colossians 1:15-17, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and by him all things hold together.”
It is because of Him that you, me and every soul on the face of the earth is alive at this very moment.
We live because He lives.
In truth, you, me, every person, awakens the next morning because He allows it to be.
He is Life, the Bridegroom and we (creation) are His Bride.
With Him, In Him and through Him, there will be no second death for you.
Because you will live forever with Jesus Christ in paradise!
Make Jesus Christ the first thing you think about tomorrow, because tomorrow’s are never guaranteed.
To Know Him Is To Love Him
Believe in Jesus Christ and what He did for all of mankind.
John 10:27-28, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
You come to know Him through Him because Jesus Christ is the Word Of God.
Make it a priority to spend time in God’s Word each and every day and you will come to know Him and love Him.
The Messiah is mentioned many times in the Old Testament and all throughout the New Testament.
Keep your Bible handy as well as your Bible Concordance to point you toward the Messianic Prophecies in the Old Testament as well as the fulfillment of those prophecies in the New Testament.
Show Your Love For Jesus: Live As He Instructed
Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”
Is one of the Beatitudes to come out of the mouth of God during His Sermon On The Mount.
Jesus Christ clearly instructed us how to live during His Sermon On The Mount.
Any question you have about life is there.
- Treat others
- Discern between True Disciples and False Teachers
- Ask for His help
Show your love for Jesus Christ by living your life the way He instructed you to.
Pray To Him
1 Peter 1:8-9, “Though you have not seen him, you love him; though not seeing him now, you believe in him, and you rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
Start your day in prayer with Him.
- Praise The Lord for creating you!
- Thank Him for all He Is, all He has done for you and all He has provided you with.
- Let Him know that you forgive anyone who has wronged you, past and present.
- Ask Him to forgive you for any sins you have committed and make known to you any unclean thing or sin that is not at the forefront of your mind.
- Pray to The Lord and ask Him to teach you His ways.
- Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit and to go with you, wherever you go this day.
- Pray to Him to fill you with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and gentleness.
Morning, midday and evening, pray to Him and He will carry you through the day.
Show Your Love For Jesus: Fear Is Understanding
Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
You are born and as a child afraid of most things as any baby would be.
Moreover, God created you and gave you parents to care for and protect you during your days of beginning.
Then somewhere along the line these words may have left your lips; “Fear? I am afraid of nothing!”
Answer God’s call and you will come to know and understand that the Fear of The Lord is the beginning of your amazing journey with Jesus Christ and Father God!
Because when you fear God, you honor Him and strive to obey His commandments for your life.
Moreover, you understand what is right and what is wrong which enables you to stay on the narrow path which leads to everlasting life.
With each passing day you grow closer to Jesus Christ and with this, more and more things He will reveal to you!
Matthew 7:24-26, “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.”
When you become a mature follower of Jesus Christ, the only fear you have is your fear of God Almighty.
Fear Him and He will tell you things and take you places you have never dreamed of!
Know What Sins Does
Hebrews 6:4-6, “For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, who shared in the Holy Spirit, who tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age, and who have fallen away. This is because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding him up to contempt.”
When you deliberately fall back into sin, you are putting Jesus back up on the cross!
We are all sinners and though we work to remove it from our lives, sinning again is inevitable.
Because if we could sin no more on our own, God, The Father would not have sacrificed His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross.
Moreover, He did this so that our sins would once and for all be washed away so that all mankind could come to know God Almighty and fellowship with Him in His Glorious Kingdom forever!
Hebrews 6:4-6, is often misunderstood because once you have given your life to Jesus Christ, your name is written in the Lamb’s Book Of Life forever.
John 10:28-30, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.”
Sin, we all will as long as we walk this earth.
But, when you choose to enter a life of sin, full-time, you are rejecting God’s Love for you and your life and you are rejecting God Himself.
Because you are continually recrucifying His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ.
Moreover, because you have rejected God’s Love, He in turn will ultimately reject you.
Show Your Love For Jesus: Carry Your Cross
Luke 9:23, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
What does Jesus Christ mean?
In order to be a true follower of Christ, your self must die.
Yes, you must die to self in order to live in the faith and become one with Christ forever.
Galatians 2:20, “ I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Moreover, when self has died, you are now ready to go out into the world because you have understanding of what true love is.
You are carrying your cross for Christ.
Love All People
Easy to understand, yet difficult to do.
But once, self has died, your path is clear.
As Jesus points out, most anyone can love their family and friends.
Loving all who have wronged you and praying for them to know Christ is the way!
Matthew 5:44, Jesus says, “I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use and persecute you.”
And who would know better how to do this than Christ Himself.
Because when He was hanging on a cross, His love for us remained strong in forgiving all who nailed Him to that cross.
Luke 23:33-34, “And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”
God walks His talk, always.
Moreover, God never asks us to do anything that we are not capable of doing.
Forgive those who have trespassed against you and your Father God will in turn forgive you.
Show Your Love For Jesus: Speak Of Him
Matthew 18:20, “Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
This commandment is not reserved only for priests, pastors, preachers and ministers.
It is for every true follower of Christ to speak to others of The Good News.
That Salvation and everlasting life comes through Jesus Christ.
Learn how to share your faith with others here.
Because as Jesus Christ Himself told us in Luke 10:2, “And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Full Surrender Is The Only Way
Jesus Christ is the vine and when we truly follow Him, we are His branches.
John 15:1-5, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. Every branch in me that does not produce fruit he removes, and he prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.”
This means that we are truly living in Christ and He in us.
Moreover, we are to Let Go and Let God; always and in everything.
Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Put self and the ways of this world in the rearview mirror, because yours is a life that He created for a specific and unique purpose!
